The most beautiful and most profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical. The essential element of mysticism is losing ones individuality with the transcendental reality - a unity with the numinous elements. One attitude is to let the outside world seize man; the other is to try to seize it.
The former requires surrender to the experience, the harmonizing of the individual self with the greater rhythm of existence, resulting in a fusion of identity of the external with the internal.
